Editorial Policy

This Editorial Policy explains how content on vistasmileturkey.com is researched, written, clinically reviewed and updated. Our aim is to give UK patients considering dental treatment in Turkey balanced, accurate and up-to-date information.

1. Purpose

Our content is intended to inform patients about treatment options, costs, recovery and what to expect when travelling to Didim. It is not a substitute for a clinical examination and never replaces personalised advice from a registered dentist.

2. Authors and reviewers

• Authors are professional health writers who follow our style guide and use only reputable sources.
• Clinical reviewers are dentists licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health. Every clinical page is reviewed by a named clinician before publication.
• Editors check accuracy, structure, accessibility and compliance with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) CAP Code, which UK patients are protected by.

3. Sources we use

We prioritise high-quality sources such as peer-reviewed journals, Cochrane reviews, NICE guidance, the FDI World Dental Federation, the British Dental Association, the General Dental Council and the Turkish Dental Association. Where evidence is limited or contested we say so.

4. Marketing claims and pricing

All claims about outcomes, savings and timelines are evidenced and reviewed against the ASA CAP Code. Prices are presented as guide ranges and are clearly marked as such. We do not use misleading “from” pricing without showing what is included.

5. Before-and-after photos

Photos used in editorial content are real Vista Smile Studio patients who have given written consent. Images are not retouched in a way that misrepresents results, beyond standard exposure and white-balance correction.

6. Patient stories and testimonials

Testimonials are genuine and held on file. Where a patient is given any incentive (for example a complimentary whitening top-up) this is disclosed.

7. Updates and corrections

Clinical pages are reviewed at least every 18 months and whenever new evidence or guidance is published. The “last updated” date appears on each page where relevant. If we identify a factual error, we correct it promptly and add a brief note where the change is material.

8. Independence

Editorial decisions are independent of commercial relationships with implant manufacturers, dental laboratories, hotel partners or transfer companies.
